The Guest Book Entry

Hi, there! I'm putting this as a placeholder for folks to introduce themselves.

I see a lot of folks coming in from my link on Brand X sig. I'd love to know if you are a returning visitor, and if you have any comments about the blog. Mostly, I log my workouts but sometimes will post on a specific workout topic, and if you have any questions for me, I can post an entry about it - I do ramble a bit so be forewarned!

Especially if you check my blog regularly, I'd love to know a little about you so here is a place to let you do that. I'll put a link on my summary so it doesn't get lost.

I'm the first to sign the guest book? Come on people. You may remember me,alittle while back I was giving you a hard time about your favorite part of crossfit,RUNNING!
I live in Utah. I've been doing CF since Mar. 1st of this year.I come from a background of running/triathlons. I found your blog through Brand X, which helped me alot with how much to cut back the posted work-out(thanks).
Keep up the good work and don't fear the RUN!

I actually LIKED that you gave me a hard time. Today's running was "fun" - but not a long run. I am eager to see how I do on a long run as I have noticed a marked increase in my work output lately. Glad to have you peeking in!

Hi Laurar -- I saw your post on the "Tommy V" WOD and felt compelled to comment. I am a federal law enforcement officer and have attended a number of funerals for line of duty deaths. Unfortunately, I have also buried a couple of agents. Your comments were some of the most sincere and touching I have heard. Your comments, coupled with your workout, i.e., falling off the rope three times, brought tears to my eyes. You are obviously something special.

Hi Laura!

Was just musing about how I miss the whole crew from Brand X. It's been almost a month since I saw you guys at the CrossFit Games, and that's way too long.

How are the muscle-ups coming along? Have you been working on your pull-overs? Have you been STRETCHING? =) Tell everybody that I miss them terribly. You're quite the inspiration, keep up the good work!

Hey Laura, My name is Dwayne and I have just started this Crossfit Training last week. I have a journal I am keeping that keeps track of the workouts and my progression. I am going to do "The Pack" tonight since I don't think I am quite ready for the full War frank yet. Thanks for posting this stuff on here so us Newbies will know what to do if there is no one around to train with us sometime.
I have started with a great group. They are real encouraging and don't let me stop on any of the exercises. Even thoough I have wanted too a few times. You talk about you rambling on... I will tell you more about me after tonight. If you have any suggestions Please let me know.

Post your times on the WOD topic of the day so we can have your history in case you need input or have questions about your specific work.

Welcome to CrossFit. It's a lifechanger. Feel free to email me. Use the email button on my profile onn the forums so that I don't have to put my email out here on this spam infested lake of bot links. ;)

Oh and if you are a beginner, make sure you don't get too crazy on the scalings. Puppies scaling is no shame for a beginner and is meant to protect newbies from injury and overexhuberance. Rhabdo can result from some of these workouts if you aren't aware of how it's induced and modify accordingly.
