I started doing CrossFit in August of '04, thanks to some needling by Brand X Students (Jason and Ricky) and Jeff Martin. I've never looked back. If look at me and say, well, of course YOU can do it, you are a maniac, then that is the beauty of CrossFit at work. Start doing CrossFit and in 6 months time, YOU will be the YOU that YOU looked at in AWE and perhaps a little skepticism. Please sign my GuestBook

Great time! I went for the Barbara myself this morning & I gotta confess I didn't put up my pullup bar yet so had to sub dips for pullups & because of a back thing lately, leg lifts for situps. Anyway when I hit the floor to start those pushups I knew I was in trouble I guess coz I did those 501 pushups on Sunday oh yeah I suffered & had no recourse but to go to my knees for at least half of each set Yikes! I also tried "prisoner style" squats with fingers clasped behind head--adds a greater degree of difficulty for me anyway. I was only able to complete 4 rounds due to getting off to a late start and getting ready for work! I hate it when work interferes with my real life!! And in celebration of Fat Tuesday I started a 3 day diet of tuna and water--but I'm gonna cheat a little and eat apples during the day at work for "snacks". Extreme measures wiil bring about extreme results. Pray for me!!
I am trying not to compare my times to the folks posting on the CF site.
I know I can compare to Jason because I saw his reps and they are usually very good. I can live with taking 20 minutes longer on my first time doing the pushups as rx'd.
Apples and tuna are perfect. Throw in some almonds. Just a few. Great Zone meal.
yeah I don't try to beat the clock either. I personally believe form and execution are more important than pure speed. I've probably said this before, but as the great Muddy Waters once said, Young horse fast, old horse knows all the tricks! Oh yeah, cold tuna right outta da can at 6am, now that's the breakfast of champions friends!!
